Howzit,
It has been a while since my last blog post and I feel that an update is well overdue! Most of you who have been following my blogs over the past months or years will be used to seeing my blogs talking about trips and looking through my photos of some small slice of perfection from along the Southern African east coast.

Today my blog comes from a different setting but no less exciting for me, London! No, it is not my first time here, I have come here several times in the past and am excited to be back, working with the crew in the HQ, but I’ll get back to that. After the CT to Mozam trip this year I spent a month in Jeffreys Bay and Cape Town, scoring epic waves before coming over here. I also did my ISA level 2 coaching course, which was really interesting, as well as surfed in the South African surfing champs. Getting a little down time and just appreciating South Africa for what it is was great and reminded me what an awesome place I live in. It always makes it easier to sell something when you really believe in it!

I am sure many of you will be thinking that I must have lost my marbles to have left the ocean and South Africa and come over to London, but having been working full-time on the ground in South Africa it is great to see what goes on over here. I got to see all the excited/nervous people as they arrived on their trip-of-a-lifetime but how they got there was never my concern. Now I get to see and be a part of all that leads up to the trip and it is a great reminder of just how personalised the experience is with Ticket to Ride.
Everyone in the office not only knows the trips but has in fact been on the trips we offer and of course know me all personally, the person who has been running them. This kind of personal experience is not all that common amongst travel companies who are increasingly focussing on just being the middle man, not worrying about what really happens on the ground.

So what is this all leading to? It is basically just to let you know that if you are interested in a trip, want to hear more about the trip from me, or just want to practice your South African slang before coming on one of our South African trips then please do not hesitate to give me a call on one of our numbers depending on which country you are calling from! I would be more than happy to talk you through it and help you make the right choice on which trip is for you!

Our July and September trips are all set to go and almost full up so if you are still considering one of them then you better get on it quickly!

Shot for reading,

Chris
