All TTRide surf course directors are experienced coaches not only on a learn to surf level but also on a national level coaching advanced professionals all the way up to competitive strategy in national teams, and all TTRide trip leaders and coaches hold professionally accredited Surf Instructor and Beach Lifeguarding awards.

Suitable for all abilities
Our carefully selected instructors boast a wealth of experience, and as a result the TTRide Costa Rica Surf Courses are adapted to each Rider’s previous surfing experience and current surfing ability whether it be beginner, intermediate or advanced.

Riders are shown everything from the basics of surfing technique, water safety and surfing etiquette all the way through to high performance maneuver analysis and competitive strategy.

Advanced techniques

Using tools such a video analysis and beach yoga our courses take full advantage of all the latest ideas in surf coaching. By keeping our group sizes down to a manageable few, we are in the best position to take each Rider’s surfing ability up to the next level.

Dedicated surf coaching both in and out of the water throughout the 6 week course puts us in a unique position to deliver the equivalent of 2 years surfing experience to each Rider by the time they leave Ticket to Ride.

1 week Road Trip

Surfing and Road trips go hand in hand and Week 5 of the trip sees us load up the TTRide van and set off in search of a new peace of perfection. This trip will be decided on swell forecasts and group preference between 3 world class surfing locations.

Option 1 a week on the Caribbean Coastline of Costa Rica, where Riders will experience a totally different Costa Rican lifestyle not to mention unbelievable surfing possibilities.

Option 2 Riders will head further North on the Nicoya Peninsula up towards some of the surf locations that have put Costa Rica on the world surfing map

Option 3 We journey south and onto the Osa Peninsula in search of one of the world’s longest left hand point breaks.

It is fair to say that surfing in Costa Rica will give you an unrivalled understanding of why surfing is often referred to as one of the most idealist lifestyles and most established extreme sport of all time.
