Personal Surfing Ability / Open Water Ability
This area is generally the hardest area for Riders too excel in. With some Riders only having surfed for the duration of the course, each Rider will really need to apply themselves throughout the whole trip. This something that Ticket to Ride is confident will happen quite naturally as surfing is a sport where endeavor is richly rewarded with exhilarating results.
Professionalism
Ticket to Ride will have instilled a very professional approach to surfing and surf coaching in its Riders throughout the duration of the course therefore Riders will have no problem in projecting the necessary professionalism when it comes to their assessment.
Short Talk / Presentation
Each Rider needs to demonstrate that they are able to talk to a group in both a clear and comprehensive manner by giving a short talk to their team-mates on a specific area of surfing. The topic will be given at the start of the course, and the Riders have the assistance of TTRide staff to ensure that their talk is of a top quality.
Written Test
A short written test on various areas of surf instructing. Having applied themselves to the SSA course and through experiences with Ticket to Ride, Riders will have no problem with the written assessment.
Pre-course Workbook
Over the course of the trip the Riders are in constant company of professional instructors, enabling each Rider will have more than enough guidance and time to complete their work books which consists of a series of short questions on different areas of the sport.
"...Learning to Surf and becoming a surf instructor in such a short period of time is no easy thing to do, each person must really want to achieve it..."
