Plettenberg Bay is a small holiday town with a big personality and a popular stop for travellers on the famous Garden Route. Staying in Albergos for Backpackers, you will have the opportunity to get to know other travellers around the open braai (Barbeque South African style) lit every evening.

Plett is the perfect place to continue to develop the open water confidence developed in Cape Town. We will be working with John Henry and his wife Donna. John and Donna are two of the most passionate coaches out there and days will revolve around setting up camp on the beach and surfing all day on perfect, warm water beach breaks. Plettenburg has one of the world’s highest populations of dolphins and more often than not they will turn up to share the odd wave with you.

Plett attracts people from all over the world mainly due to its reputation for stunning sea life. Ticket to Ride will give you the choice of taking an Ocean Safari to follow the migration paths of Hump Back whales and witness schools of Dolphins in pursuit of sardine runs or, if you’re daring enough, you can bungee off Bloukrans Bridge – the world’s highest at 216m! If that’s not high enough you can take on a tandem skydive as an optional extra.
