Tim Conibear - Head of TTRide Foundation

BSA level 2 Accredited Instructor
NARS Beach Lifeguard
LSA Lifeguard

Tim's dedication for Surf and Travel has led him all over the world. From the remotest jungle of South and Central America to the harsh terrain of the Occidental Sahara. Tim's travels have taught him invaluable skills when it comes to planning and executing highly successful surf adventures.

As a Language graduate from Bristol University and key member of their surf club, Tim spent a year living in South West France where he nurtured an interest in wine which he recently followed by working at the prestigious Klein Constantia Wine Estate in Cape Town for their harvest season.

Tim offers a different perspective on surfing. His laid back style and love for different boards will allow our Riders to pursue a variety of different approaches to surfing. Two years in Cornwall as an instructor at Harlyn Surf School and a season coaching the Restormel Borough Development Squad leaves Tim well positioned to add further knowledge and expertise to the Ticket to Ride team.

A true believer in the outdoor lifestyle, when he's out of the office and not in the water he's often to be found in the air engaging his other passion, Paragliding.

Bevan Langley

SPA Lifeguard
SSA Surf Coach
Theta Qualified Surf Guide

When it comes to running tours in South Africa they don’t come much more qualified than Bevan. Not only does he boast over five years experience of guiding surf groups along the coastline, but he has also had three seasons working as an overland tour guide throughout Southern and Eastern Africa.

Hailing from Durban, Bevan was brought up in and around the infamous heavy beach breaks. Originally learning his trade on a body board he soon realised that standing up on the board was the way forward, and has travelled and surfed South Africa’s East coast extensively.

He is a reputable photographer, and gets equal pleasure when he’s shooting subject matter in the oceans, or out on the African planes.

Pete Abell

BSA Level 2 Surf Coach
NARS Surf Coach

Pete is a true character who has committed himself to the ultimate season lifestyle. During the Summers he runs one of Cornwalls most prestigious surf schools, King Surf in Mawgan Porth, and will spend his Winters either in the Mountains hunting for powder, or travelling the globe searching for perfection in the water, sometimes doing both!

We first spotted Pete in 2005 whilst working for another Surf School on the same beach as him. We were simply blown away by the level of energy and enthusiasm he threw into his lessons; and no matter how hard we tried ours never looked as fun. So if you can't beat them, you've got to join them, and that's why we're so excited to have him on the Ticket to Ride team for 2010.
