LINLEY LEWIS

- BSA accredited surf instructor, NARS Surf Coach Lifesaver

As a founding Director of Ticket to Ride, Linley has nurtured the business from the early stages. He has unparalleled experience in handling surf tours, having run trips for large groups to South Africa, Mozambique, Portugal and all over the UK, for the past five years.

He originally learnt to surf on his own Gap Year, and after falling in love with the sport became a qualified surf coach, and also boasts an impressive acumen of countries traveled to on the hunt for perfect waves.

When he's not running trips or touring the UK in the TTRide truck, he can be found preparing himself for his next Adventure or putting in the hours in the TTRide London HQ.

Will's energy and excitement for surfing are highly contagious. Since leaving school Will has spent whatever time he had traveling and surfing in some of the world's most exotic and remote locations making many valuable friends and contacts throughout the surf industry.

Away from the beach Will heads up all Ticket to Ride's Marketing and Events and is constantly dreaming up new and inventive ways to ensure that Ticket to Ride remains at the pioneering forefront when it comes to surf coaching that delivers results and responsible travel that puts something back into the local community.

TIM CONIBEAR

BSA level 2 Accredited Instructor, NARS Beach Lifeguard, LSA Lifeguard

Tim's dedication for Surf and Travel has led him all over the world. From the remotest jungle of South and Central America to the harsh terrain of the Occidental Sahara. Tim's travels have taught him invaluable skills when it comes to planning and executing highly successful surf adventures.

As a Language graduate from Bristol University and key member of their surf club, Tim spent a year living in South West France where he nurtured an interest in wine which he recently followed by working at the prestigious Klein Constantia Wine Estate in Cape Town for their harvest season.

Tim offers a different perspective on surfing. His laid back style and love for different boards will allow our Riders to pursue a variety of different approaches to surfing. Two years in Cornwall as an instructor at Harlyn Surf School and a season coaching the Restormel Borough Development Squad leaves Tim well positioned to add further knowledge and expertise to the Ticket to Ride team.

A true believer in the outdoor lifestyle, when he's out of the office and not in the water he's often to be found in the air engaging his other passion, Paragliding.

PAUL BOTHA

Paul Botha started surfing in Cape Town in 1959 before going on to pioneer many of the now popular surf spots on the Southern tip of Africa with his contemporaries during the sixties. After extensive worldwide surf travels in the seventies he returned to Cape Town and became a surfing administrator.

Having founded many South African surf organisations such as ASP Africa regional office and the giant Ocean Action festival, he also facilitated the formation of the non-racial United Surfing Council of South Africa.

Identifying the need for international standards in the burgeoning SA surf school industry early in the new millennium, Paul and his son Dene imported British Surf School and Instructor standards to South Africa that will ensure both the safety and quality of the Surf Schools and instructor training across South Africa.
